Southpoint Insurance has been a leading independent agent in the area for over 50 years, and during that time, we expanded our client book to include companies across the United States. We didn’t get here by doing the same things every other insurance agency did—we invested in our people and created a culture that encourages growth, support, and collaboration.
In an ever-changing and highly competitive industry like insurance, teamwork is essential. Our producers, account teams, and marketing experts have to work closely to create the best possible outcomes for our clients. That’s why Southpoint only hires the most passionate, customer-focused individuals to join our team. If you want to learn from some of the brightest minds in the insurance industry and hone your skills in a creative, rewarding atmosphere, Southpoint is the agency for you.

Our account executives are experienced insurance professionals with deep knowledge of key commercial lines coverages. Account executives work closely with their clients throughout the policy year by initiating policy changes, gathering quotes, and binding coverage. Additionally, these individuals work in conjunction with producers to serve their current clients and prospects.
Major responsibilities include marketing new and renewal accounts, preparing client submissions, collecting quotes from various carriers, and presenting proposals. Account executives should handle all client requests in a timely manner, document them in our agency management system, and review all policy documents for accuracy.
At Southpoint, we prioritize education and professional development. As a result, our account executives should participate in various seminars and classes throughout the year to further their knowledge about industry trends and changes. Using their expertise, account executives should know how to identify coverage gaps and find additional selling opportunities.
Our account executives have at least five years of experience managing commercial property and casualty accounts. They have excellent communication skills and time management, which allows them to effectively manage competing priorities. Additionally, account executives hold active property and casualty insurance licenses. Most team members also carry additional industry certifications such as ARM, CRM, or CPCU.

Our commercial account managers are creative problem-solvers with a passion for client service. Account managers work closely with other service representatives to develop long-lasting relationships with clients. When a client needs to adjust their policy or explore renewal options, our account managers offer guidance and support. Account managers play an essential role in ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
Our account managers enjoy establishing a rapport with a variety of clients. They bring at least three years of insurance service experience and a valid property and casualty license to the table, allowing them to work independently to tackle complex challenges. Additionally, account managers regularly update our agency management system and use Microsoft Office Suite to create professional documents for our clients.
We encourage our account managers to take advantage of educational opportunities and grow in their careers. When our account managers thrive, the whole agency benefits. Send us your resume if you want to take the next step in your career at a company with limitless growth opportunities.
Our producers are the face of Southpoint. They grow our agency by fostering new relationships with potential customers and sustaining long-term relationships with our existing clients. During new policy negotiations, coverage changes, and renewals, producers support their account team and help identify new sales opportunities.
Using their excellent presentation and customer service skills, producers deliver proposals to potential clients and follow up throughout the sales process. During policy renewals, they assist their service team in presenting new coverage options and insurance company choices. In addition to maintaining relationships with clients, producers also maintain relationships with representatives from our carrier partners. Essentially, producers keep every step of the policy lifecycle running smoothly.
Producers are communication experts. They can find ways to reach the toughest prospects and convey the value Southpoint provides. Additionally, producers set ambitious sales goals and play an integral role in growing our agency. They must maintain the highest standards and carry valid licenses in every state in which they sell insurance.
